Panagiotis Sarris has 17 years of successful track record in renewables, with emphasis in the solar (photovoltaic) sector. Before joining EEW, his longer engagements in the sector had been with the German developers ABO Wind AG and juwi AG, for a total of 11 years.
In ABO Wind AG, he led the company's newly established solar division, as General Manager and Member of the Management Board, contributing materially to the fast development of company's multi-GW global solar pipeline. Earlier, in juwi AG, he directed the successful market entry and company operations, in Greece and Turkey, as Chairman of the BoD and Managing Director of juwi's local subsidiaries. Shorter engagements of his in the sector include leading of the start-up of Conergy AG in Greece and an energy consulting firm in the UK. Before renewables, his primary focus had been the telecoms sector, for about 10 years. He is an Electrical Engineer with postgraduate studies in UCL, UK.
